Compulsions are not conscious choices. I guessing that if you had to choose between smoking a cigarette and getting sick and vomiting, you would choose to take a puff.

Davey, I don’t know of any independant research that supports NRT. It’s remarkable that the pharms have got ‘in bed’ with policy makers so effectively with a product that works so badly…

Is there any …
Is there any independent ( ie not funded by drugs companies)proof that nicotine patches actually help? I can’t help thinking it’s a way of making yet more money for the pharaceutical industry. I think it’s probably as unhealthy as a fag, having a nicotine patch on. I’m on day 7 having used hypnotherapy.
