well i dont care … well i dont care about the fact i was a junkie, but the fact that my lungs were (and still are) in bad health makes me sad ive ever put a ciggie in my mouth
Hi Julie, … Hi Julie, Congratulations on giving up smoking. I too have given up, cold turkey after 25yrs of smoking. I feel great for giving up, but am now paying for it with the weight gain, so now I am going to gym to try loose the weight I gained. I still believe it is habit of smoking, I missed it more when I was on phone to friends, etc…good luck to everyone who gives up smoking, just be aware that you will gain weight.
I’ve been trying to … I’ve been trying to quit smoking for about 5 years. Nothing worked. But, something clicked when you said ‘junkie’. You’re right…I didn’t like to hear it. I also love the truth of I don’t want it, my body is craving it. Thank you for the motivation and truths. Lung cancer is hereditary on both of my parents’ sides…I would like the cicle to stop with me. Thanks again!
I recently quit … I recently quit smoking a month and a bit ago, and the first three days was hell! but weird thing was I worked out on my days off, and went for walks..and chewed normal gum. I just kept myself busy. I feel awsome, and I have a recently cravings time to time, but the craving stops in a couple seconds. I FEEL AWSOME! Good JOB! Amazing video!
very good I have … very good I have already read Allen Carr, being a closet smoker/party smoker/on and off-smoker. I had stopped before reading it, but the book opened my mind a bit, the answer to all the why’s are in there.
Hi - I’m sorry that … Hi - I’m sorry that you have got that impression from the video. I thank God for Allen Carr - every single day! The only reason I said about the book being “horrible” - was that it is “horrible to read” - very repetitive etc. This is so that people understand that even if they hate the book - keep reading it - right to the end. So yes - I do give Allen Carr 100% of the credit for giving me the information I needed to quit. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to clarify that. Regards J
Hi Julie, … Hi Julie, congratulations on quitting and helping to spread the word… only good will come from the message you are trying to spread… That said, you should really be giving Allen Carr more credit than you are. You shrug off his book as being horrible and yet EVERYTHING you say, EVERY WORD, is exactly what you learned from him.
You really should cite your sources properly. Give the man his propers. He has helped millions of people become smoke free - including you it seems - give thanks.
I read that book 3 … I read that book 3 weeks ago. I have been smoke free for the past two. Very interesting read and attacks the mental addiction in a very insightful way.
the title of this … the title of this video made me angry and need a cigarette lol… but after listening to what you had to say i actually thought you where amazing and inspurational. Thank you!!!
Hi Zigzag - I work … Hi Zigzag - I work from home - if I wanted to, I could smoke as many as I like! Luckily, I don’t smoke any now. But I do have more time - that’s for sure. Regards Julie
This is very true.. … This is very true.. I feel like a junky. I walked 35 minutes just to go to the atm machine to get money for my cigs. How crazy am I. But its my body that wants the cigs, not me…
Your story is … Your story is really inspiring, i’ve always wanted to quit since day 1 but never had the will-power to do so. I’m surprized you metioned the stop smoking book, because a friend had given me that book a year back after they had read it and quit, i’d never thought that by reading a book would help me drop my habit, but now that you’ve talked about it as well has given me a clear sign to go grab it and read it til the very last page. I really hope it helps me, and thanks for posting this video!
